Private medical care may be obtained in case you fall ill whilst in Saudi Arabia for the purposes of Umrah. There are plenty of pharmacies located around the holy cities for minor health issues. Private medical clinics are also available close to the Haram in both Madinah and Makkah. To protect you from something more serious, you must arrange some type of insurance cover for such eventualities. This cover may cover the cost of cancellation by the yourself or the cost of assistance, including emergency repatriation, in the event of illness which you may, if you wish, take out in respect of the risk of those costs being incurred.
